It seems that The Office is becoming a staple for us and our couples. And as a Colorado engagement photographer, I am soooo happy about that! 🙂
I, Casey, have known Amanda since before high school, and she was always one my favorite people growing up. Smiling and joyful, it seemed she always saw the good in any given situation. While she is younger than me by only a year or so, I admired her greatly – and still do. Now, Michael was a different story. I met him once before when we did a family session that included Amanda’s hilarious and amazing little seeds, Charlotte and Wyatt. But, as I’ve learned well in my life, the ‘Michaels’ of the world are among the best of human beings. And this Michael, was no exception; he know The Office almost better than me, and he makes Amanda one happy chick.
*Cue whimsical music and smoochies*
I met up with Amanda & Michael in downtown Georgetown, where we all hopped in one car to start driving up Guanella Pass. Colorado had just gotten a good blanket of snow a few days prior, so everything was wonderfully white. It’s always a crapshoot to see how far you can get if it snows, but we luckily made it quite far!
I was instantly grateful for this pair. It was coooold. And they were total troopers! For a Colorado engagement photographer, not only was it a breeze to photograph them, but they also willingly made their way through 2 feet of snow, they followed all of my silly directions, and they incorporated their own ideas! Oh, and did I mention, WE WENT ON A FROZEN LAKE?! I loved every minute with them. We quoted the great Michael Scott (see, I’m tellin’ you, there’s something about Michaels! 😉 ) pretty much the whole time. In addition, we connected on life, adulting, kids, and being the best versions of ourselves as humanly possible. Now, that’s good people right there.
My Michael and I cannot WAIT to film and photograph their wedding this coming September at the gorgeous Della Terra Mountain Chateau in beautiful Estes Park. If I know these two like I think I do, it’ll be a wedding day for the books!
