I remember meeting with Brett and Anna to talk about being their Boulder wedding videographer and photographer. Even for our initial consultation, I kept thinking how much they loved each other. Their respect and kindness to one another struck me so quick. It was this trait that continued to warm me throughout their wedding day at the Boulder Country Club as well.
Once Anna was flawless, she opened a gift from her groom to be. A sweet card, a customized cup with her soon-to-be last name, and a gorgeous pair of pearl earrings (insert heart-eyed emoji here). Father of the Bride was next. Anna had the sweetest gift for her dad: a personalized tie with the message (look below for it!). Gifts continued to be dispersed, but now this time it was for the groom. Brett & Anna’s first date was obviously a mark in their relationship, but for one specific reason: Brett had lost his favorite pair of Ray Ban sunglasses! Haha. This Boulder wedding videographer and photographer doesn’t think he was too upset though, since the trade off was Anna.
Since Brett and Anna wanted to wait until walking down the aisle to see each other
we did our separate family formals before the ceremony, along with our bridesmaids and groomsmen photos. We did a faux ‘First Look’ around a door for the bride and groom, just to get a few jitters out of the way, and talk about the weather. No, literally, they needed to talk about the weather. As the ceremony started, this Boulder wedding videographer and Boulder wedding photographer along with everyone anticipated Brett’s reaction to seeing his beautiful bride. His welled up tears did not disappoint. They locked eyes, and the rest was history. Their kind vow exchange reflected their love, respect, and excitement to be united together. The rest of the day was spent with tons of laughs, smooches, handholding, forehead kisses, twirling, dancing, sweet, stolen moments, and tooooooons of love.
Our favorite part of their day
was right after their ceremony. When all the family and wedding party went back to the bridal suite to sign the marriage license our couple was out on the patio, and Brett was overcome in the moment. Looking at his gorgeous bride, as his eyes filled with tears. He pulled her in close and planted kisses all along her face. It had nothing to do with the backdrop or posing. And we had no part in directing. That’s the best part of being a Boulder wedding videographer & photographer.
